Busy Block is the design that made licensed team knitwear respectable: horizontal blocks of team colour with the crest worked into the knit. Knitted, not printed — which matters more than any other single fact about a Christmas jumper. A print jumper looks tired after two washes and a knit does not, and that is the difference between a garment you wear for one December and one you wear for five.
Worth knowing
- Genuinely warm. Excellent for a match or a cold pub; too much for a heated function room after nine o'clock
- Men's cut, so it is shaped rather than the straight unisex block — the better option if the unisex version swamps you
- Licensed team knitwear sells out early and does not come back. Buy in November if you need a specific team
