Description
Eight pounds. It is worth being honest about what that buys.
At this price the fabric is thin, the stitching is quick, and the finish is whatever came off the line that week. Expect one December out of it, and treat anything beyond that as a bonus. That is not a criticism so much as a description — there is no version of this that is secretly good quality, and anyone telling you otherwise is guessing.
Where it makes sense is volume and risk. Kitting out a team, a stag do, a group of students, or anyone who is going to spill a drink down themselves — eight pounds means a ruined jumper is an anecdote rather than a loss. The hood also means it copes with the walk to the next venue better than a crewneck.
Choose this if
- You need several of them and the total is the constraint
- The evening involves drink, and the jumper may not survive it
- You want a spare so you are not washing one top three times in a fortnight
Wash cool, inside out, air dry. Do not buy it expecting warmth; buy it expecting to take part.
