At this price the calculation changes. A polyester printed sweatshirt at under a tenner is not competing with knitwear on quality — it is competing with the problem of kitting out fourteen people in a warehouse or a call centre who all need to look festive on the same Friday and none of whom want to spend forty pounds.
Bought for that, it is the right answer. Bought as your one good Christmas jumper for the season, you will notice what you saved.
Be realistic about
- Polyester handle. Smooth and slightly synthetic, not woolly. It also runs warm and does not breathe especially well.
- Print longevity. Fine for a season if you wash it cool and inside out. It is not an heirloom.
- Sizing. Unisex and generous — order your usual size for a loose fit.
If you are outfitting a whole team, order one first and check it before committing to a dozen. Sizing across cheap unisex ranges is not always consistent between colours.
