Description
All-over print is the trick that makes a twenty-pound sweatshirt read as a proper costume across a crowded room.
Rather than a graphic sitting in the middle of the chest, the design covers the whole garment — sleeves, body, back. In photographs it looks considerably more expensive than it is, which is most of the appeal.
The trade-off is texture. This is a printed polyester-blend sweatshirt, not knitwear, so it has a smooth, slightly slick handle rather than the woolly one people picture when they think of a Christmas jumper. Whether that matters depends entirely on whether anyone is going to touch it.
Worth knowing
- Sizing runs small. Arvilhill is sized to an Asian fit — most UK buyers want a size up, sometimes two.
- Wash it inside out and cool; all-over prints fade fastest at the shoulders.
- It photographs far better than plain knit, which matters if there is a competition.
Worth checking the measurements against a jumper you already own before ordering. Sizing is the single most common reason these go back.
