Description
A pair of matching pullovers built on a National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation reference.
Amazon files this under Valentine's Day, which is a mistake: Todd and Margo are the Griswolds' insufferable neighbours, and the joke only exists in December. If you are buying it as a Valentine's gift, the person receiving it will either be delighted or entirely baffled, with very little middle ground. Bought for Christmas, aimed at a couple who quote the film at each other, it lands properly.
Read the room
- The reference is invisible to anyone who has not seen the film — this is an in-joke, not a slogan
- Sold as a pair, so check both sizes are in stock before ordering
- Printed sweatshirt fabric at fifteen dollars; fine indoors, no warmth outdoors
- Completely safe for work, assuming your colleagues have seen the film
For other film-referencing options, the Leg Lamp and Santalorian jumper mines similar territory. If you are new to matching, is it too soon? is the honest answer.
