This one is closer to fashion knitwear than to novelty, and that is the point of it.
The oversized cut, turtleneck and batwing sleeve are a deliberate silhouette rather than a joke, so it works as an ordinary winter jumper that happens to be festive. Nobody wearing this looks like they are in costume.
The turtleneck also does something practical: it means you can leave the coat at home on a short walk, which in December is worth more than another reindeer.
Choose this if
- You want to look good rather than look funny
- Your workplace is smart enough that a flashing jumper would be conspicuous
- You want something that carries on being worn in January and February
Oversized by design, so consider whether you want it relaxed or genuinely voluminous before choosing a size. Check the length measurement as well as the chest — batwing cuts vary a great deal between makers.
