Description
At the top of the range, and the money is going into the knitting rather than the joke.
This is a genuinely knitted pullover — the Santa design is worked into the fabric, not printed on top of it — with the density, ribbed cuffs and structured hem that separate real knitwear from a sweatshirt with a picture on it. Stand next to somebody in a twenty-pound printed version and the difference is not subtle.
The cheeky element is mild. It is a naughty-Santa design rather than a rude one, so it stays wearable in a mixed room.
Worth knowing
- Warm. Real knit in a heated function room is a lot — plan for a t-shirt underneath and somewhere to put it.
- Acrylic yarn, as almost all of them are at this price. Hard-wearing, and it can itch on bare skin.
- This is a multi-year garment. Judge the price against five Decembers, not one.
If you want one Christmas jumper that you will still be pleased with in 2030, buy knit rather than print. It is the single decision in this category that most affects whether the thing gets worn twice.
