Description
A one-word innuendo, printed large. That is the whole design.
It is worth being plain about how this reads. The joke works only if the reader is already amused by that kind of joke, and it is aimed at the wearer in a way that some people will find cheerful and others will find crude. There is no way to wear it neutrally — it announces something about your sense of humour before you have said anything.
Among friends, on a night out, at a party where everyone has chosen to be there, it lands fine and gets a laugh. In a workplace it is a different object: colleagues cannot avoid reading it, and a slogan of this kind in front of clients or a mixed team is the sort of thing that gets quietly mentioned afterwards.
Read the room
- Good: the pub, a friends' party, a group who already know the joke
- No: the office party, anything customer-facing, family Christmas with children present
- Printed crewneck, sweatshirt weight: cool wash inside out, no drier
If you want the same energy with less risk, self-deprecating slogans get the laugh without implicating anyone else. Related reading: when the Christmas jumper goes too far.
