Novelty features on Christmas jumpers are usually decorative. This one actually does something: at a standing party where you need a hand free for a plate, a phone or a handshake, a glass holder solves a real problem. That is more than can be said for most tinsel.

- Excellent at a house party or a stand-up drinks event, which is most of December
- Less clever at a work do, where a jumper built around holding wine makes a statement you may not want on record
- Not a good gift for someone who does not drink — worth checking quietly first
Practically: check what the pocket is actually made of and how securely it holds a glass in the product images. A poorly constructed holder is worse than no holder, particularly over a light-coloured jumper.
At $16.99 it is cheap for a garment with an actual feature. Fleece washes well but pills with heat, so keep it cool and inside out.
