Description
A quarter-zip with a stand collar and a fleece lining. Christmas is almost incidental.
This is a proper cold-weather garment that happens to have a seasonal print on it, and that changes what it is for. A quarter-zip lets you vent when the function room gets warm and close up when you step outside — the two things a crewneck Christmas jumper does worst. If your December involves being outdoors at all, this is more useful than anything with tinsel on it.
Choose this if
- You are outside in December: markets, football, dog walks, waiting for taxis
- You want something you will keep wearing in February when the novelty jumpers are back in the loft
- You want warmth without the itch and bulk of a knit
The trade-off is that it will not read as a Christmas jumper across a room. At an office where everyone has committed, you may look as though you turned up in ordinary clothes — which for some people is the entire appeal.
At $18.99 it is very good value for a lined garment. Fleece linings pill with hot washing, so keep it cool.
For a smarter knitted quarter-zip, the shop has COOFANDY's snowflake version. See also layering for outdoor Christmas events.
