A cotton Christmas top for small children, which is the right material for the job.
Most cheap children's Christmas jumpers are polyester fleece, and cotton is genuinely better for a child who will wear it for eight hours — it breathes, it does not build up static, and it goes through a hot wash without the fabric itself suffering. For a garment that will meet paint, lunch and a playground, that matters more than the design.
Choose this if
- Your child is at nursery or school and the jumper will be worn all day rather than for an hour
- You want something you can wash repeatedly through December
- You are buying for the younger end — the range starts at one year, which not many listings do
The one-to-seven range is broad, and age-based sizing is the least reliable measurement in clothing. Measure something they already wear and compare against the seller's chart rather than trusting the label.
The print will still fade with hot washing even if the cotton does not mind — inside out, cooler cycle, and it will last into a hand-me-down.
