Description
An actual knitted jumper, in an actual Fair Isle pattern, for under forty dollars.
That combination is rarer than it should be. Most Christmas jumpers under fifty dollars are printed graphics on fleece; this one has the pattern worked into the knit, which is why it will still look like itself in five years while a printed jumper bought today will look tired by 2028. It is the single best value decision in the whole category.
Worth knowing
- Knitted means warm. Genuinely warm — in a packed, heated function room you will be uncomfortable by mid-evening
- Conversely it is the right choice for carol services, markets, and anything outdoors
- Fair Isle with a bow reads as tasteful rather than ugly, so it is the wrong garment for a competition
The bow detailing places it in the current seasonal styling rather than in traditional Christmas kitsch, which broadens where you can wear it. This is a jumper that works in January, and very little in this shop does.
Check the measurements against a jumper you own rather than trusting the size letter — knitwear fit varies widely between brands.
Our full argument for spending here rather than on prints is in knitted or printed, and how to wash a Christmas jumper covers keeping a knit alive.
