Description
A hood, an oversized cut and a heavy elk print — the outdoor end of the Christmas jumper range.
Most novelty Christmas tops are thin sweatshirts that leave you cold the moment you step outside. This one is built the other way round. Hooded and heavier, it works for the walk between the pub and the next pub without a coat going over the top of the design, which is the usual way a jumper stops doing its job at 9pm.
The cost of that is indoors. In a warm room with fifty people in it, this will be too much within half an hour, and there is nothing to do about it because the joke is the layer you are wearing. If your event is entirely inside, buy something thinner.
Choose this if
- The day involves being outdoors — markets, football, a walk, a smoking-area social life
- You want oversized on purpose; the cut is roomy, so take your normal size rather than sizing up again
- You prefer a hood to a crew neck for everything else you own
Print rather than knit, so wash it cool and inside out. Elk rather than a slogan means nobody has to read anything, which makes it safe for a mixed crowd — unlike some of the things people talk themselves into.
