Sequins do something LEDs cannot: they catch every light in the room without a battery pack anywhere.
Under the lighting that function rooms and party venues actually use, sequin work moves and glitters as you do. It reads as genuinely festive in a way flat printing does not, and it photographs beautifully — which is where a large part of the value of a Christmas jumper is realised.
It also avoids everything that goes wrong with light-up jumpers. Nothing to charge, nothing to switch off during the speeches, nothing that dies at nine o'clock.
Worth knowing
- Wash with real care — inside out, cool, gentle cycle, and never tumble dry. Sequins are the failure point.
- They can catch on jewellery and on other people's clothing; worth knowing in a crowded room.
- Standard women's sizing; check the measurement as sequinned panels have less stretch.
A strong choice for an evening event specifically, where the lighting does the work for you. Less remarkable under office fluorescents at eleven in the morning.
