The distinction matters more than anything else on this page. A printed sweatshirt is a photograph of a jumper; this is a knitted pullover with the Santa design worked into the fabric, which means there is no surface print to crack, fade or peel after the third wash. That is the difference between one December and five.
The trade-off is heat. Knitwear is genuinely warm, and a crowded pub or a party in a small office will make it uncomfortable within the hour. It is at its best outdoors, in a cold building, or anywhere you would otherwise want a coat.
Choose this if
- You want something that comes back out next year rather than one season of wear
- The event is cold, or partly outdoors
- You would rather look festive than look ridiculous — this is a mild design, not a competition entry
Wash cool and dry flat; knitwear stretches if you hang it wet. If you want something louder for a jumper contest, an all-over printed sweatshirt gets more attention across a room.
