A t-shirt pretending to be a jumper, which sounds like a cheat and is actually a good idea.
The recurring complaint about Christmas jumpers is heat. Offices are warm, parties are warmer, and the standard outcome is a knitted jumper tied round a waist by nine o'clock. A printed tee gives you the look for the photographs without the sweating, and you can wear a cardigan over it when you step outside.
It will not fool anyone close up, and it should not be entered into a contest where effort is being judged. As a way of taking part in an overheated building, it is more sensible than most of what we sell.
Choose this if
- The venue is hot, or you run warm and always regret the knit
- You want something to wear repeatedly through December without laundry becoming an event
- You are going somewhere warm for Christmas
Standard tee care: cool wash inside out, no drier, and the print will do a couple of seasons. If you want the same idea in long sleeves, the "this is my ugly Christmas sweater" tee makes the joke explicit.
