Everybody has seen a Griswold Family Christmas jumper. Rather fewer people go for the Marty Moose eggnog glass, which is exactly why this one earns more credit from the people who matter.
The design puts the moose-shaped eggnog glass front and centre, with "Griswold's" above it and "Famous Eggnog" below. It is a specific prop from a specific scene, and the reaction it gets is a good test of who has actually watched the film versus who has absorbed it culturally.
That is the trade-off with a deeper reference: fewer people get it, but the ones who do get it properly. If you want guaranteed broad recognition, the standard Griswold Family pullover is the safer choice.
