Digital print is the reason some all-over jumpers look sharp and others look muddy.
The cheapest full-coverage tops are printed with limited colour and visible banding, which is fine at eleven pounds and obvious at twenty-eight. Better digital printing holds fine detail and deeper colour, and the difference is visible from across a room in exactly the situation you bought it for.
The fabric underneath is the same story as every printed jumper: polyester, light, slightly slick, and not warm. You are paying for the image, not the garment, and it is worth knowing that is the trade you are making.
Worth knowing
- Cool wash inside out, no tumble drier. Heat is what kills digital print
- Thin fabric — comfortable in a warm venue, cold everywhere else
- Women's crew neck; print-first sizing runs close, so check the chest measurement
- Two or three good seasons, which is better than the cheap end but not knitwear
Worth the premium if the design is one you actually like. If you only need something loud for one night, the cheaper 3D crewnecks get you most of the way for half the money.
